· The Capstan Anchor must be installed using the correct Rubber Recess Former that holds the anchor securely in place during casting. This ensures simple and secure locating of the anchor and leaves the anchor ready for the correct universal heading lifting link. The round rubber recess formers are produced from stable shape, oil and temperature (120 deg) resistant rubber and can be used repeatedly. · The Rubber Recess Former is available in 1.3t - 32.0t load groups.

 

Installation:

The recess plug is spread open and set over the anchor head and is then attached to the mould using the stamped metal plate with the fixing bolt and wing nut. On tightening the wing nut, the recess plug is pressed against the mould and clamped around the anchor head at the same time.

Removal:

To extract the plug from the set concrete, reinforcement bars are to be inserted into the two openings provided. The plug is then leveredout of the mould.
